DeiPro Tuning

Kyle Deiwert, the Owner of DeiPro Tuning, began his passion for automotive performance after attending a LeMans Qualifier Race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course early in his life. After a friend bought a DSM in the summer of 2001, it began apparent to the owner that this was a great platform to learn from. As Parts were installed, and the boost was turned up, power was made with a larger turbo, yet not the expected amount. After little research, it was clear that “tuning” was needed. It was about this time that the owner himself purchased a 1995 Talon Tsi Awd and began modifying it. Much time was spent contemplating what the upgrade path should be. After seeing the T25’s limitations, a turbo swap was planned, but as the last step in the upgrade path. All the supporting modifications for a larger turbo were made, mainly focusing on the fuel and ignition systems. In order to control these, Deiwert made the popular choice of DsmLink. With nothing but the user manual, research, and experimenting, Deiwert dialed in his relatively stock DSM. A few races at the track later, after beating larger turbo DSMs proved to Deiwert that tuning really was key. Deiwert chose to attend The University of Akron to study Mechanical Engineering. He joined the University’s Formula SAE racing team, which gave him his first experience tuning with a Standalone EMS, a Motec M4.

Deiwert decided to attend EFI University during the Summer of 2006 to get professional training and answers. Shortly after, DeiPro Tuning was established.
